One mans journey into the world of Swedish Snus
My name is James and I am very new to the world of Swedish Snus. I’m going to blog about my experiences with Snus and hopefully help others who are curious get into this wonderful alternative to smoking!
Hi James, its fun reading your swedish snus journey as im a swedish guy been using snus since the 80’s. I will never forget my first taste of snus.
I think I was 12-13 years old and my pal and I have got your hands on a can of Goteborgs Rape loose weight snus. It tasted like shit and I was ill for a half and hour. However I tested it later on when I were 18 and are now stuck with it. Im 37 so I haved used it for almost 20 years. My favourite snus is General and Röda Lacket portion snus since loose weight is kind of filthy. I highly recommend those two brand. There are many kinds of General but the two I use is General white and ordinary General. Röda lacket its a fine rotation snus, to break off the stronger General.

Thanks for visiting Magnus. I’m really looking forward to trying Goteborgs rape with my next order! I’m enjoying a can of General portion as we speak and I love it! A review will be coming soon.
Cool…Goteborgs Rape is one kind of special…
I really enjoy your site and the reviews are spot on and well written. Please keep adding to them. Happy snusing!
Hey great website, question for you.
What is the disc that pops off the top of many swedish snus cans for?
@Dan
That is the lid for the small compartment inside, where you can put your used portions of you’re on the go.
Hi James!
Thank you for the kind words about my blog and I. I’m extra glad to see you’re a Founding Member of SnusCENTRAL.org.
The subject of snus overwhelmed my otherwise “whatever interested me at the time” blog, The Unloading Zone. That, plus all the frustrations I encountered as a new snus user, having to spend hours on the Internet trying to separate the truth from the propaganda concerning Swedish Snus, led to my creating SnusCENTRAL: one Central location where a cigarette smoker looking at snus as an alternative could find everything from FAQ’s, Reviews, Forums, a Snus Store, a place where members could review the snus’s they had tried, snus news and commentary, and a lot more.
I’m far from done with it. Right now I’ve finished moving most of my Unloading Zone snus articles and reviews over to SnusCENTRAL.org.
I’m in the process of diverting hits on my Unloading Zone articles to SnusCENTRAL. All my snus articles written after Dec 5th are only on SnusCENTRAL, not The Unloading Zone. I’m also writing as Mr. UNZ over there (I nickname you and/or some of my Unloading Zone fans began referring to me as).
I appreciate the link to The Unloading Zone. You may want to change it to either SnusCENTRAL.org or my little section, http://snuscentral.org/snusnus/mr-unz-reports.html so your readers won’t be confused when they go to a snus article on the Unloading Zone and they see one paragraph and a “Read More” link to the complete article on SnusCENTRAL.
As for your blog, I enjoyed reading your reviews. They are very good.
I also designed SnusCENTRAL to provoke Member involvement: Mr. Unloadingzone/Mr.UNZ is just a piece of the puzzle on SnusCENTRAL, not the whole show like on The Unloading Zone.
I don’t know if you looked under Member Reviews, but there is a selection for “Reviews from That Snus Guy”. Like you, he concentrates on Reviews and has his own blog at http://www.snustopia.com.
I asked him if he wanted to post on SnusCENTRAL as well. He was excited at the opportunity, I was excited to give it to him, and as you can see, he began last week.
Your reviews remind me of my early ones and that perspective is needed at SnusCENTRAL. If you’re interested, I’m extending the same offer to you.
It’s not a one-way street. It gives you exposure, and as you can see with the “That Snus Guy” reviews, I’m helping him build his brand for Snustopia.com as well. I add occasional direct links to Snustopia, syndicate his articles on SnusCENTRAL the same as my own, and give him greater exposure. I do the SEO on his articles, and include keywords and tags to further his traffic to Snustopia as well as SnusCENTRAL.
He still writes reviews on Snustopia and different ones on SnusCENTRAL. This has to be a win/win for everyone or it won’t work.
If that doesn’t interest you, we could discuss a feed exchange and at a minimum, when I have the Important Links area set up, I’m going to return the favor and have a link to snusgarden prominently placed.
I don’t know if you have comment moderation turned on so I’m not going to put my Wireless # here, but if you would like to talk about it, email me at mr.unz@snuscentral.org. If you do have moderation on, you don’t have to publish this. It’s intended for you personally but I don’t mind if you do so it’s your call.
Thanks for your support and thank you for being a Member of SnusCENTRAL.org. Whether my offer interests you or not, I am going to have SnusCENTRAL link to your blog since you’ve been generous enough to link to mine.
I’m glad my articles not only steered you to Swedish Snus, but inspired you enough to start this blog. It’s gratifying and humbling. It justifies the expense in time and money of launching SnusCENTRAL.org.
Thanks again and look forward to reading your future reviews,
Mr. Unloadingzone, AKA Mr. UNZ
